Calvados is an apple brandy produced by distilling cider or perry (fermented apple or pear juice). The drink itself originated in the French region of Lower Normandy. The production process consists of the following stages: harvesting apples and pears and preparing them for the press; extracting juice; fermenting the juice and producing cider (apples) or perry (pears); distilling cider or perry in a fruit column to produce fruit alcohol; putting the fruit alcohol into oak barrels and aging it for the required amount of time. Fruit brandy "Calvados Prykarpatskyi" is an apple spirit aged for 6 months in an oak barrel.
